Every year, CSDC updates our Charter School Governing Board Sample Policies to reflect changes in the law. 

Available exclusively to CSDC Member schools, CSDC’s sample policies repository includes “boiler plate” language for the policies California charter schools are required or otherwise recommended to have adopted.

A best practice is for California charter school governing boards to regularly review their school policies and make changes as needed. To assist with this annual review process, CSDC has a helpful resource, the Charter School Governing Board Sample Policy Checklist, which we're making available to all school leaders regardless of CSDC Membership status through the end of the month:
