Who is Eric Premack? And why do I need to hear from him?
After helping to write and pass the charter school law in California in 1992, Eric Premack founded the Charter Schools Development Center to continue to lead on advocacy, school development, and technical assistance for charter leaders. Eric’s insight and perspective proved invaluable to charter leaders as they navigated the ongoing legislative, regulatory, and fiscal changes affecting California charter schools.
As the complexity of the California charter school landscape grew, Eric developed a comprehensive annual presentation–the Leadership Update Presentation–to orient charter leaders to the realities of each new school year, in this dynamic regulatory, legal, and political environment.
To better inform and educate California school leaders, CSDC added additional events, topics, and resources around the presentation each year, eventually arriving at the event’s current format: A large, multi-day, statewide conference–with the Leadership Update Presentation as the event’s most important content.
