LEAs shall submit an annual expenditure and data report detailing expenditure information to CDE including, but not limited to: specific purchases made and the number of teachers, administrators, paraprofessional educators, or classified staff that received professional development. The annual expenditure and data reports are due on or before September 30 of each year.

Charter School Board Action Required? Yes. As a condition of receiving funds for educator effectiveness, charter schools must develop and adopt a plan for expenditure of funds, which requires the plan to be explained in a public meeting of the governing board of the charter school before its adoption in a subsequent meeting.
Actions to be taken: Submit annual expenditure and data reports on or before September 30 of each year.
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) provides funding for afterschool and summer school enrichment programs for transitional kindergarten through sixth grade.

Annual Report—Available to submit beginning on Wednesday, May 1, 2024—will remain open for submission until the close of the fiscal year on Monday, July 1, 2024. Complete requirements of the Annual Report are detailed in California Education Code Chapter 5.1, Section 8820, Subsection (g)(4). This annual report must be board approved, submitted to the CDE, and posted to the LEA's website. The mandated information for this report includes: number of full-time equivalent (FTE) teachers, classified personnel, and teaching aides; number of pupils served; number of school sites providing arts education programs with AMS funds. (Note: CDE reporting tool is under development.)

The Universal PreKindergarten (UPK) program aims to increase access to preschool programs for 3-to-4 year-olds at local educational agencies (LEAs). Submit expenditure report #5 for the reporting period of May 1, 2024 to October 31, 2024 to the CDE.

Local educational agencies (LEAs) must annually certify that all AMS funds will be used to provide arts education programs, among other assurances. Note: the certification must be kept for auditing purposes but is not required to be posted on the LEA web page or submitted to the CDE.

The regulations governing the School Facilities Program call for a 120-day application “window” that opens 180 days after the election is certified. The application window will open May 4, 2025 and close August 31, 2025 at 11:59 pm. Applications will be submitted via the Office of Public School Construction’s (OPSC’s) online application portal, which will be live by the opening date.
