Description

Per California Government Code section 53234 and as of January 1, 2025, all California charter school governing board members must complete two hours of ethics training by January 1, 2026; all newer and ongoing board members must complete two hours of training at least once every two years.

CSDC Member Schools can satisfy the ethics training requirement at no additional cost through CSDC’s two-part Ethics webinar recordings.

Here’s how:

• Make sure your school’s CSDC Membership is current or join/renew here.
• Watch the recording of the webinar.
• Complete the assessment to demonstrate your knowledge with a passing score of 80% or higher. (You can find a link to the assessment on the webinar page above.)

Within 3-5 business days of finishing these steps, CSDC will provide certification that can be used to prove that a board member has met the mandatory requirement.
