The California School Dashboard provides high stakes data about every public school. Its multiple measures may or may not accurately reflect the impact of the school’s program. The webinar will open with an overview of this public-facing website and then will examine each Dashboard state and local indicator, including how state indicators are calculated, surprising dynamics, key limitations, and tips on interpreting the data. The webinar will then explain how the Dashboard is used in charter renewal, Local Control and Accountability Plans, and state and federal school accountability.
Attendees may want to have their school’s Dashboard open on a separate screen or tab. Questions are welcome in advance and during the webinar.
